Docs / The dashboard

The dashboard

The dashboard is the home screen for the active product. It’s the first icon on the left rail. Think of it as a daily briefing: a single screen that tells you what’s shipping, what’s in flight, what’s overdue, and what still needs a decision.

Stat tiles

A row of tiles across the top shows at a glance:

Tile What it counts
Unshipped features Features in Idea, Planned, or In Progress stages
Open tasks Tasks in To Do or In Progress
Overdue tasks Tasks whose due date has passed
Inbox items Unarchived captures waiting for triage

Click any tile to jump directly to the corresponding tool, already filtered to what that number describes.

Active release

The dashboard highlights the active release — the release currently in progress for this product:

  • Version number and optional name (e.g. “v1.2.0 · Login redesign”).
  • A progress bar showing checklist items done vs. total.
  • A Next feature shortcut — the first unshipped feature in that release.

If no release is in progress, the tile shows a prompt to create one.

Doc type breakdown

A row of cards shows your doc inventory by type — how many Rules, Plans, Arch, ADR, and Notes docs exist in the product. Click any card to open the Library filtered to that type.

Notifications preview

The bottom of the dashboard shows the latest few notifications — overdue tasks, inbox items, published releases. Click View all to open the full notifications list.

Scoped to the active product

The dashboard always reflects the active product — the one shown in the product switcher at the top of the rail. Switch products and every number updates to that product’s data. Nothing bleeds across products.

Tips

  • Use the dashboard as your morning check-in: what’s overdue, what’s next, what shipped recently?
  • The Next feature link is the fastest path to today’s work — one click and you’re in the feature detail view.
  • If the overdue task count is non-zero, click it to jump directly to Tasks sorted by due date.
